Minnesota's Legal Paraprofesional Program was created to expand access to legal representation in cases where parties often appear without lawyers. Authorized by the Minnesota Supreme Court, the program took effect on January 1, 2025. It allows approved Minnesota legal paraprofessionals, working under the supervision of a Minnesota licensed attorney, to represent and advise clients in select matters, and, in some cases, represent a client in court.
