Topic: Administering Probates in the Real World

Attorney Scott A. Ruhsam of Kennedy & Ruhsam Law Offices, P.A. in Eagan, Minnesota, will provide a comprehensive overview of the probate process from beginning to end and all things in between to help you understand what it means to probate a Will or to administer a probate proceeding with the Minnesota probate courts.

Every probate proceeding has its own characteristics, depending on the Decedent, the surviving heirs, navigating the family dynamics. Administering a probate includes: inventorying and accounting for the assets comprising the estate; determining which assets are probate or non-probate; confirming if the probate is testate or intestate; and assisting the Personal Representative of the estate with the fiduciary duties of administering the probate. In addition, Attorney Scott Ruhsam often holds the Professional Fiduciary role as Personal Representative or Trustee. We will be diving into the real world of probate administrations with an experienced legal team, including how the role of the paralegal is key to learning what probate is and means.
