Topic: Artificial Intelligence and the Ethical Practice of Law: New Tools and Old Rules
This presentation is a continuation of our September meeting and will cover ethical issues related to the use of AI in the practice of law.
While the development and use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the practice of law grows exponentially, the professional ethics rules governing the practice of law do not (or cannot) change to keep up. But should they? While we touched briefly on the topic of AI and the ethical practice of law in our September 2026 meeting, this presentation will take a deeper look at cases exploring whether the use of new technological tools alters the fundamental duties defining the ethical practice of law.
